SuperSonic SuperCars (S.S.S.C): Ford GT

The 2006 Ford GT was offered in one trim level with only a handful of available options. It featured an aluminum chassis with double-wishbone suspension, 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels, special high-speed tires and a supercharged 5.4-liter aluminum V8 engine putting out 550 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. Standard equipment included HID headlights, air-conditioning, keyless entry, power windows and a

CD audio system.

Owners could opt for an upgraded McIntosh audio system with four-channel amplifier, as well as BBS forged aluminum wheels, red- or gray-painted brake calipers and a full-length racing stripe. Two special-edition color schemes for 2006 included a Tungsten Grey exterior that commemorated the original GT40's 1-2-3 Le Mans victory in 1966, and a Heritage Edition that featured the blue and orange colors of the GT40 that won Le Mans in 1968 and '69.

Earlier versions of this single-generation vehicle were similarly equipped. With a total production of a shade more than 4,000 units, the majority of Ford GTs were 2005 and '06 models. Those shopping for a previously owned GT should be aware that some early 2004 production models experienced "teething" problems involving leaking hoses and minor ailments with the electrical and climate control systems. Ford also recalled several hundred of the first '04 production cars to replace potentially defective suspension control arms, and also inspected and addressed complaints of engine main seal oil leaks. Although these early problems were likely rectified, we'd put our hard-earned money toward a later model.

I have to say- when I first say this spy photo, I thought that it was a Lexus IS. I sure some people might agree with me. But then I realized it was an Audi, in spy form. KGR spy photographers have caught the A3 sedan—inspired by the A3 concept that debuted in Geneva 18 months. This lower, sportier, four-door sedan will be built off the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform. And just incase you haven't heard, yes, Audi and V.W are working toghether. If you haven't learned, you're EXTREMELY late. Hear this: The interior will be as spacious as the A4! Very cool.

The A3 sedan will be offered with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing roughly 220 hp; the TDI will get a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel making around 140 hp—an A3 sedan TDI isn’t a lock yet for the U.S.. An S3 Quattro with a 2.0-liter four producing 300 hp and the RS3 Quattro with a 2.5-liter turbocharged straight-five. Expect the RS3 sedan to make 380- to 400 hp and likely outperform the competition, including the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG.

Car Rumors: 2014 BMW 4-series Coupe

Picture 1 C/D: Regardless of what anyone calls this rose, it's probably going to be sweet.

Very true, this BMW is going in my top favorite BMW's, how about you? Anyway, This 2-door sleek beauty is right after its 3-series. With a longer hood, and lower roof, which makes it have that flat-at-the-top look. Since the name change from 3-series to 4, it's not yet clear of the BMW brass. The F32 4-series will share its platform with the F30 3-series. Rear-wheel drive will be standard, with all-wheel drive being optional.

From research we expect the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder to motivate the 428i, and the 435i will get the 3.0-liter turbo straight-six. Here this, it will produce about 427hp, now hows that for a fast BMW?

I was hoping for this BMW to have abou 4 mufflers, but from what I've been seeing, I don't think so.  The 4-series coupe will arrive in late 2013 as a 2014 model, with prices starting around $40,000 for a 428i. The convertible is likely to arrive in the 2014 calendar year.

                  Honda Accord Sedan 2013                    

This Honda Accord has a sharp new look. The new nose is more rounded and aggresive then it was ever before:) It has a sculpted lines in the hood and a chrome-ier grille lending an upscale look. There are also even resembelance from other european and Japenese Honda Accords.

 

Honda still will offer a V-6 in the Accord, which the brand says has been significantly upgraded from past iterations. It’s rated at 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque, which is a slight increase in power from last year while losing a couple of pound-feet in peak twist, but low-end torque has been improved. In the sedan, this engine is offered only with a six-speed automatic gearbox—with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters—and Honda is expecting a 21 mpg city/34 highway rating from the EPA. A six-speed manual will be available with the V-6 in the coupe

The new hybrid uses a scaled-down version of the four-cylinder engine from the regular Accord, here displacing 2.0 liters and making 137 hp. It runs on the Atkinson cycle, a combustion setup that trades some power for improved fuel efficiency. A 124-kW electric motor provides the rest of the power, and Honda estimates that the combined power output is 196 hp. Recharge time is claimed at three hours on a normal 120-volt outlet and under an hour on a 240-volt charger.

So, the blonde went home, got down on her hands and knees and started blowing into her car's tailpipe. Nothing happened. She blew a little harder, and still nothing happened.

2014 BMW M3 Coupe/M4

    C/D:M reminds us all is well in Munich.

The next, F82-gen M3 coupe/M4 is like on the current F30 3-series. It is a rear-wheel-drive platform with the engine mounted far back and its all-wheel drive, which is offered on the F30, won't be an option on the M3 coupe/M4. The M models get a wider front and rear track, performance wheels and tires, and there will be carbon-fiber components on the body and chassis. We expect a carbon-fiber roof-panel, with no sunroof option, and a total weight that is slightly lower than the 3550-ish pounds of the previous M3. The fenders of our photo subject are wider, and the car sports the M hallmark quad exhaust tips. I really like the position of the exhaust tips.

  The new coupe will not have the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V-8, a unit derived from the previous M5/M6's 5.0-liter V-10. The next car will again have an inline-six, likely with 3.0 liters of displacement and force-fed by two turbochargers to make at least 450 hp. Power will be channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual or a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Top speed will be governed at 155 mph, while a more lofty electronic ceiling will be optional, probably set at 174 mph. I think this is very impressive for B.M.W.

As you see in the picture there's a plain Skyline, but if you add these parts you would have a drift car or race   car
1.Twin-Turbo: Turbo's add 200- 500 horse power (hp)  

2. forger pistons-  forged pistons work better then regular pistons because it is made of high pressured metal and regular pistons are made of cast components. 





                                                                                                                   
3. tires- you will always need tires when going anywhere. you need tires for grip and you will need you will need slick tires to drift on the lift is slick tires and on the right racing tires.

 






                                                                                                                                   
4. you will need a spoiler- it helps your car have some grip when drifting or racing

                                                                                                                                 



5. This is the final step you will need a paint and a vinyl job- the reason is because it makes you car look good while racing or drifting.

Car Rumors: 2015 Volkswagen Golf R

C/D: The next version should have more power and be lighter, to boot.

 Like all the other Golfs and some other other coming soon Audi and VW models.Also, the R will ride on the MQB architecture. They say they will cut as much as 200 pounds from the regular Golf. The current car’s weight is 3354 pounds as tested earlier this year that keeps it from feeling truly athletic.

Both the next GTI and the Golf R will be powered by variations of the brand's EA888 2.0-liter TFSI engine. The GTI will have 220 hp, while the Golf R will see its output rise from 256 hp to somewhere around 300. The R will offer a six-speed manual. The current American Golf Rs are stick only, and if we only get one gearbox the next time around, we hope that strategy continues.

 The GTI will be launched next spring in European markets and will arrive here in late 2013 as a 2014 model. The base price should stay around $35K.

Car Rumors:2014 Maserati Quattroporte

Maserati and Ferrari aren’t crazy on naming and branding their automotive architecture like VW is, but this rear-drive platform is largely new. The use of aluminum will cut at least 400 pounds from the current Quattroporte’s weight, a portly 4400-pound cruiser in our last test.

Ferrari is providing two engines for the Quattroporte: A 520-hp turbocharged V-8 and a 420-hp supercharged V-6. It’s a trope to drive an Italian road car and say it sounds like an F1 racer, but there will be a grain of truth to that old story with the V-6 Quattroporte. The engineers who developed the six also are the guys running the program for the turbocharged 1.6-liter V-6 that’ll power the Ferrari F1 team in 2014. Unlike the F1 car, both Quattroportes will make use of the ubiquitous eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF, which converts torque in a host of Audis, BMWs, Jaguars, and Land Rovers. With competition beingAudi A8 and Audi S8, Jaguar XJ Supersport, Porsche Panamera.

What the car will look like

The V-8 version will go on sale later in 2013 with a price tag of around $130,000. It’ll be at least a few more months before the arrival of the cheaper V-6 car.

2014 Alfa Romeo 4C

It seems that on this Alfa Romeo the rear window has grown a little, but from my point of view, this 4C looks smaller than the rest. The 4C will use an entirely new mid-engine platform. That concept, for instance, made liberal use of aluminum and carbon-fiber chassis elements. If, as claimed for the concept, the weight remains below 2000 pounds, Alfa engineers will have pulled off a triumph.

The 1.7-liter four-cylinder turbo that will power the 4C comes from the Fiat Group’s corporate parts bin; it will be coupled to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic. The engine's power output still is a mystery, excepting the rather strange claim that it will have more than 200 hp. We expect the actual figure to be well north of 250. That power will be routed exclusively to the rear wheels. We do know that the 4C's top speed will be around 155 mph, while the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is said to take less than five seconds. The car will be priced at about $45,000.

Videos are Coming!

Hey guys, Derick here. Just wanted to inform everyone that very soon there will be postings of videos by either Jamel E., Dillon D., or me, Derick P.

I'm not completly clear on it yet but I think the first video will be about who we are, what we do, what we will be posting, ect.

Also, the reason why we haven't been posting much things is because we usually meet up and talk about what we are going to post and because of Hurricane Sandy and we are not able to connect much. I don't know about Jamel and Dillon, but I will try to post some stuff.
